About the Speakers:
Kasia Borowicz
I assist my clients during the entire life cycle of the foreign assignment from assignment planning, payroll, and compensation consulting to the preparation of tax returns and tax equalizations, and through repatriation planning. My clients range from high-level executives to large groups of expatriates based around the world. With more than 17 years of experience, my professional expertise includes expatriate taxation (inbound and outbound), international payroll reporting, global mobility policy, as well as managing diverse teams within and outside the United States.
I’m a member of the AICPA and the MICPA, and I graduated from Walsh College with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy.
I was born and raised in Poland and came to the States to study abroad for what I thought would be a relatively short adventure — it turned out to be a life-long commitment. I can say that I continue my studies abroad as I learn something new every day. My own experience of living in a foreign country helps me relate to my clients and guide them through their “adventures” abroad.
Fun fact: My husband and I come from the same hometown, our parents went to the same elementary school, and we share some of the same friends, but we have not met until we were in college, in another city.

Betina Schlossberg
I am the Principal Attorney at Schlossberg Legal, a multilanguage boutique firm that specializes in employment-based immigration matters; transactional art matters; as well as legal counseling and legal project management for international clients.
I earned a Bachelor in Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Buenos Aires Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a Doctor in Laws (JD) from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI, and a Master in Laws (LLM) in International Law from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, IL.
I am admitted to practice in Michigan and New York. In addition to being an attorney, I am a Civil Mediator. I am the Immediate Past Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Section of International Law and hold various leadership positions at the American Bar Association
