About the Topic:
Join us for a conversation with Dr. Olena Danylyuk as she shares an in-depth look at Ukraine’s fight for freedom, its historical journey toward independence, and the critical role global communities play in supporting its future. Today, as the country defends itself against full-scale war, the stakes are not only geopolitical—but deeply human. Dr. Danylyuk will highlight the extraordinary strength of the Ukrainian people—from frontline soldiers, medics, and civic leaders to educators and mothers—who are protecting their nation, holding communities together, and actively shaping Ukraine’s future. Drawing on her humanitarian work and academic background, she will share both personal stories and practical insights into how we, as an international community, can stand with Ukraine. About the Speaker: Dr. Olena Danylyuk is a biochemist, technology transfer professional, and humanitarian advocate with deep ties to the Ukrainian community. In addition to her scientific work and leadership in clinical research, Dr. Danylyuk has spearheaded numerous initiatives to support Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian war. She has coordinated the shipment of critical medical supplies and transportation to front-line hospitals, provided aid to orphanages, supported Ukrainian doctors, and co-organized large-scale fundraising efforts in partnership with national and local organizations. Dr. Danylyuk is an active member of the Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, the Ukrainian American Civic Committee, the Shevchenko Scientific Society, and the Ukrainian Museum-Archives in Detroit. Her efforts include educational outreach, bilingual support services, and advocacy events aimed at sustaining global attention on Ukraine’s fight for freedom. With over 20 years of experience in science and academic leadership, she bridges innovation, community service, and international solidarity to amplify the voices and needs of Ukraine—both in the U.S. and abroad. |
