| About the Topic:
When we think about leadership, we often focus on experience, expertise, or results. But there’s another factor that often determines who gets the opportunity to lead at the highest levels—executive presence. Through research and teachings from scholars, authors, and leadership advisors in the field of leadership development, executive presence has been identified as a quality that signals to others that you’re ready for bigger responsibility. Stephanie will provide an overview of what executive presence really means, why it matters for leaders at every level, and most importantly, how it can be intentionally developed. As an Executive who has developed her executive presence through more than two decades of global cross functional assignments and expansive leadership training, Stephanie hopes to accelerate the knowledge and development of executive presence in those around her. She’ll explore through stories relating to the three pillars of executive presence: gravitas, communication, and appearance where the potential exposure points can be, and provide the audience with insight on positive adjustments you can make to elevate your executive presence. About the Speaker: Stephanie Gehl is a transformation-focused executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in the global automotive and aftermarket industries. During her career with General Motors, she held senior roles across product development, marketing, portfolio management, sales, manufacturing, and aftermarket operations, leading strategy, driving significant commercial growth and operational improvements across North America. Most recently, she served as Vice President of North America Independent Aftermarket, where she led regional strategy and go-to-market initiatives to accelerate sales and strengthen channel performance across the region. Stephanie holds an MBA in International Business from Oakland University, a BA in International Business and German from Alma College, and international education at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. In addition to her degree achievements Stephanie has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and MIT Sloan + CSAIL focused on organizational leadership, design thinking, and the business implications of artificial intelligence. |
