Sprecherin: Dr. Paula L Ruffin

Thema:
Do You Have The Guts To Be Healthy?
How the Gut/Brain Connection Keeps You Healthy.

Did you know your gut is the center of the universe??  When your digestion doesn’t work well, it compromises all the other aspects of your health.  Your brain takes the biggest hit of all!  You will learn the most common reasons people have digestive issues, how it relates to anxiety and stress, why most traditional treatments fail, and how to fix digestion (and everything else) once and for all!

About the Speaker:

Dr. Ruffin graduated from The University of Michigan in 1988 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology. While attending The University of Michigan, she did an internship at their weight management clinic and also at the Domino’s Pizza World HQ Corporate Fitness Center. Her primary responsibilities were doing body composition testing, setting up nutrition and exercise programs as well as creating incentive programs and wellness plans for the clients.

She has a great understanding of how well the combination of chiropractic care, physical therapy, and nutrition can give you the life you desire.

She is a Certified First Line Therapy Health, Lifestyle, and Nutrition Physician and has a passion for helping you and your family get their health on track and build a new lifestyle to keep it there.

Her favorite activities involve mountain biking, yoga, softball, volleyball, rock climbing, boating, and just about any other outdoor activity.

Her burning desire is to climb Yosemite’s Half Dome and live in a home with a vineyard in Napa Valley, California.

Here are some tips to help us have a successful Zoom event:
1. If you’ve not previously used Zoom, we recommend you download and create an account before the event and become comfortable with some of the features such as – how to mute/unmute your microphone, review your background or consider using a virtual background.

While Fancy Friday attire is not required, this might be the time to polish off a nice sweater or blouse, do the best you can to tame your COVID hair and find that great shade of lipstick that you used to wear before face masks. 😉 Pour yourself a nice beverage and settle in front of your computer, tablet or smart phone for our event.

Remember, if you have to step away or there’s lots of background noise, please be considerate and mute your line and/or stop video. You may also want to learn how to switch between gallery and speaker view as we will be asking you to switch modes during our presentation.

2. For our conversation to remain pleasant for everyone – please refrain from gossip about others and allow only those who wish to share their feelings or experiences to do so themselves; no politics or slamming our governor, president, etc. however you may share how the policies have impacted your life and family personally.

Be considerate and allow others to share but also maintain the confidences of others…. What happens at GPWA, stays at GPWA. 😉
